AIR
Behavioral intelligence for high-volume hourly hiring

The friction
The hourly workforce is the backbone of the economy and the most underserved corner of hiring technology. Employers making hourly hires are flying blind: the reference check — the one step meant to reveal how someone actually shows up — has quietly collapsed. Candidates hand-pick references, legal teams coach them to confirm only title and dates, recruiters skip it entirely. Most hourly hiring decisions get made with almost no real behavioral signal, and the turnover bill lands later.
The position
The reframe is the whole game: this isn’t a compliance cost-center, it’s a retention tool. We positioned the platform to move the buyer’s conversation from “background checks” — HR overhead — to “talent intelligence,” a strategic investment with a different budget, buyer, and price point. The name carries it: *AIR* — AI Reference — light, clear, legible, the opposite of the opaque process it replaces.
The system
The reframe needed a face. The mark is four rising signal bars, the last one breaking to coral — a faint signal made strong, drawn straight into the logo. The color and the weight land on AI, so the name resolves at a glance as AI Reference. The palette is disciplined — signal blue, a single coral accent, deep navy — an instrument panel, not a compliance form. It reads as talent intelligence, which is the entire pitch.
The outcome
A name and a story that let an agent-driven, ATS-native product stand up as a category — “behavioral intelligence” — rather than a feature bolted onto someone else’s tool.
